Riyadh reels and sprawls over 960 sq km (371 sq mi). Unfortunately, most of its street signs are in Arabic only. Al-Bathaa is the central, older portion of town. Most of what you'll require in Riyadh lies north of here, especially in Olaya and Sulaimania, the main business and shopping areas.
The main north-south thoroughfares are Olaya St and King Fahd Rd, while Makkah Rd is the main east-west artery.
